Speaker’s Biography
Dr. Shawn Meng
Director,Valuation Product Control, Market Risk, BMO
Dr. Meng possesses Bachelor of Science (Control Engineering) from Tsinghua University and Ph.D in Engineering Mathematics from University of New castle-upon-Tyne. Dr. Meng has worked in various market risk capacities at BMO and OTPP. He started as a risk manager at BMO market risk in 2004, and was in charge of risk management group in China. He then became a Senior Manager in risk management at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP) in 2009. Since July 2009, Dr. Meng has been with Valuation Product Control group in BMO, where he was promoted to Director in 2011.
