Speakers’ Biography:

Michael Ye, MBA

Michael holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business (Finance & Accounting)and an Honours Undergraduate Degree from the University of Toronto (Economics).He is currently pursuing a CPA designation. Michael joined RBC Investor Services as a Fund Accountant after completing his undergraduate degree. He was later promoted to the role of Senior Fund Accountant where he supervised a team of eight with over $20 billion of assets under administration. In the summer of 2012, Michael returned as an intern at RBC Capital Markets Finance where he worked closely with the Investment Banking teams to develop the 2013 Corporate & Investment Banking Business Plan. After completing the Schulich MBA program, he joined RBC’s Finance Management Development Program, a finance leadership rotational program offered at RBC. In the rotational program, he has worked in Acquisition Integration Finance during his first rotation and is now working in Global Asset Management Finance.

Michael Lee, CPA, CA

Equity Research Associate

Michael holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Toronto(Accounting) and Chartered Accountant designation. After graduation,Michael joined Deloitte’s M&A tax group focused on acquisitions and corporate reorganization. After three years at Deloitte, he moved to Ernst and Young’s consulting group focused on financial services. Michael then made his move into the banking sector as he joined RBC Investor Services as a Senior Analyst and subsequently RBC Capital Markets as an Associate in the Global Credit Group focused on financial institutions.Currently, Michael is at Scotiabank Global Banking and Markets as an Equity Research Associate covering diversified financials.
